Apart from the APA (Area of Environmental Protection) for the Lagoa Encantada and Al-
mada River, where the farm is located, the
region has two other conservation units:
APA of Itacare-Serra Grande and the Serra
do Conduru State Park.

These conservations areas turn the coast into
one of the most important spots of the preser-
vation of the Atlantic Rainforest. This eco-
system offers a huge biodiversity (450 plant
species per acre), lagoons, rivers and water-
falls, attracting visitors from all over the world.
The 30 acres of Fazenda Boa Esperança participates in this huge conservation effort.
